Light and white snow flakes fell from the grey sky above, adding to the light blanket of snow that already covered the ground. In contrast to the white, a young woman dressed in all pink treaded through the snow with an equally pink creature waddling happily behind her. The ice type would leap and go belly first onto the snow surface, sliding to catch up only to stop and waddle next her.[break][break]

In the corner her eye, the woman spotted the wild pokemon. But like always, it wasn’t pink so she ignored it. Smiling, the pink haired woman ushered for her pokemon to follow. The sounds of crunching snow with each foot step increased until she was running, facing the ice type to slide on her belly to keep up. “Come on,” she called out, “We don’t have all day.”

Winter was slowly disappearing from the region. Although the cold still remains, the snow has began to melt leaving the region a muddy mess. Today though, a thin layer of snow still blanketed the earth and a chill in the air. Luckily, Eleanor wore her thick pink jacket and designer winter boots to keep her warm.[break][break]

By her side, the pink ice cube creature waddled delightful by her side. And after several minutes of searching for a pokemon, the sharp contrast between the flabebes flower and the snow made it very noticeable. Eleanor giggled with delight, marching straight towards the wild pokemon and plucking a ball from her pocket. “Aren’t you cold,” the young woman asked, feeling bad for the delicate flower, “Come with me. I’ll keep you warm.”[break][break]

Whether the little flower wanted too or not, the coordinator tossed the ball. It blooped the creature on the head, sucking it in and locking behind it. The sphere fell to the earth, cushioned by the snow as it began to wiggled. Eleanor smiled, kneeling down next to the ball eager to have a new friend.

The pair continued their venture further into the safari zone. Eleanor shivering in her boots, feeling the cold breeze of winter whirl around her. Despite the coordinator being cold, her pink ice cub waddled carefree by her side. Sapphire digits flickered left and right, eyes squinted in an attempt to find a wild pokemon.[break][break]

Suddenly, something bright popped out from a pile of snow to her left. It screeched, causing the pink haired woman to scream and unintentionally chuck an empty safari ball at the attacker. The ball clocked the shiny bug in the face, sucking it in and locking behind it. Eleanor, still scared out of her mind, stable back and lost her balance. Falling back onto her bum, emitting her own squeak of pain before wide panic filled back fell upon whatever she chucked the ball at. She scrambled back on her hands and feet, eyes on the ball as it wiggled on the floor.[break][break]

She gasped for air, heart pounded against her chest as she tried to catch her breath. The pink ice cub tilted her head. “That scared me,” Eleanor mumbled, finally calming down some and getting to her feet, “What was that?” The woman brushed off the snow that stuck her her, moving to the ball as it continued its wiggle routine. “Why did it do that to me? Kinda rude.”

It was unfortunate that she had to use a ball on that stinger bug. It left her with one ball left. Eleanor will have to really think about what she wanted for her last pokemon. And as she thought about it, sapphire eyes spotted the flower pokemon off in the distance. Luckily, she already had one. She let out a sigh, pushing herself to keep moving forward.

There was something cute about a minccino. Those large circular ears, the long fluffy tail, and those massive soul searching eyes. It was truly an adorable pokemon. Yet as the pink haired woman spotted the sleeping cutie pie underneath a tree, the coordinator didn’t feel the desire to catch it. Yes, she could get it painted for whatever to be pink. But that type of pink, it was unnatural and something she didn’t like.[break][break]

Blue orbs shifted to her pink ice cube, smiling as it waddled faster to caught up with her. There was something beautiful about the natural color of pink creatures, the hues and shades just matched so perfectly. Yeah. No pokemon that wasn’t naturally pink for her. Moving away from the wild pokemon, Eleanor kept on the search. However, it was getting late and she will have to return back to the office soon.

It was getting late. Too late. Despite the thick grey clouds that covered the sky, it was clearly becoming night as they turned a darker shade of grey. The temperatures dropped, the once mid breeze turned heavier and colder. Everything pointed to getting close to night fall.[break][break]

Eleanor sniffled, whipping her nose on the back of her gloved hand. Sapphire orbs shifted over the swaying tall grass, about ready to call it a day. The cold has penetrated her jacket, chilling her to the bone. Surely, will get a cold after this. But just before she was about to call it for the day, a feline let out a long sorrow filled meow.[break][break]

Eleanor eyed the green kitty, plucking her last ball from her pocket. “Here kitty kitty,” she called out, launching her ball into the air and aiming to capture the feline, “Come with me.” The feline turned to the call, head tilted to one side. The ball hit the creature in the head, drawling it into the sphere and locking in place. Eleanor shivered, darting to pluck the ball off the ground and ready to leave to get warm.
